he Suffolk Sheep, originated in the southwest of England during the 18th century. They resulted from the crossing of the Southdown and Norfolk breeds. They are characterized by a high carcass yield (55 to 60%) and a relatively low fat content. The weight of adult males varies between 110 and 160kg and that of females between 80 and 110kg. The average birth weight is 4 to 5 kilos and the growth of the lambs goes up to 450 g /day.

They are docile, of short wool and nails, with black lower limbs and head. They are unmistakable known for their conformation and beauty.

Females have good maternal capacity and are prolific, with values in the order of 165%.
